DUBAI – The UAE Ministry of Education has denied rumours suggesting changes to official school timings, reiterating that no modifications have been made for government schools at any grade level.

The Ministry urged parents and the public to rely only on verified channels for accurate updates, stressing that no official announcement had been issued regarding such claims.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry dismissed circulating posts on social media platforms claiming that school hours would be shortened.

It confirmed that no official material has been published on its channels concerning the matter. The Ministry also shared a post on its verified account on X, wishing students success for the new academic year 2025–2026, while reiterating the importance of following official updates only.

School hours for 2025–2026

The Ministry has now released the approved school schedule for public school students across different levels:

Kindergarten: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Cycle One (Grades 1–4):

  • Option One: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 1:25 pm; Friday, 7:15 am to 10:35 am.
  • Option Two: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 2:20 pm; Friday, 8:00 am to 11:45 am.

Cycles Two and Three (Grades 5–12):

  • Boys: Monday to Thursday, 7:15 am to 2:15 pm; Friday, until 10:35 am.
  • Girls: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 3:15 pm; Friday, 8:00 am to 11:45 am.

These timings apply from the start of the new academic year 2025–2026.
